World of Faeries outcome.

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Hi there, Just to let you know that the World of Faeries Festival in South Elgin, Illinois was a great success! First off it’s really fun and the people and entertainment are great! Second We sold well and so did Paula our friend and business partner from The Magick Willow. Third the festival is growing every year with more to do and more vendors and more people coming to it! We met people from all over Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana who drove there, I can’t wait for next year! Also I’m to become a member of the Brotherhood of the Green Men a good organization dedicated to the Earth and men who love it, I can’t wait. Entertainers Patchouli were there again with their really good folk music sound and the Gypsy Nomads who I’ve seen at other fests really did great drumming. The fighters from Swords of Valor are great people both entertaining and to hang out with! Also the faerie entertainers did a great job keeping the kids entertained with all their wonderful games stories and tricks. I also wish to say that the folks doing the mexican food are great as is the coffee place that makes the fruit and tea smoothies. and the brick oven pizza was very good as well, please all come back next year! Thanks to David and Gloria for holding it again, Keep up the great work, we will see you there next year.

Oberlin Beltaine

Monday, April 21st, 2008

The Oberlin collage Beltaine this weekend was great! The weather held for most of the day and attendance was good. We sold really well surpassing the totals of previous years. Entertainment included a Fiddler, a Hammered Dulcimer player, Several jugglers, Maypole dancing, Boffer sword play, Human Chess, and a Beltaine rite. There were Pirates, and Ladies and Lords galore. Half Renfaire, Half pagan event, it was a really good time put on by Opan (Oberlin Pagan alliance network) a group of hardworking collage students who really care about community. If your group is interested in helping with a good thing they could use help on next years festival. I’ll put how to get in touch with them soon. For those who missed it this year shame on you, make sure you’re there next year as it’s worth the trip and admission is free! I have Pictures that should go up this week!
