Oberlin Beltaine
Monday, April 21st, 2008The Oberlin collage Beltaine this weekend was great! The weather held for most of the day and attendance was good. We sold really well surpassing the totals of previous years. Entertainment included a Fiddler, a Hammered Dulcimer player, Several jugglers, Maypole dancing, Boffer sword play, Human Chess, and a Beltaine rite. There were Pirates, and Ladies and Lords galore. Half Renfaire, Half pagan event, it was a really good time put on by Opan (Oberlin Pagan alliance network) a group of hardworking collage students who really care about community. If your group is interested in helping with a good thing they could use help on next years festival. I’ll put how to get in touch with them soon. For those who missed it this year shame on you, make sure you’re there next year as it’s worth the trip and admission is free! I have Pictures that should go up this week!
